A Story of Determination

 

     Once upon a time there was a snow girl named Pepp, it was short for Peppermint. Pepp had a dream she wanted to go to the Bahamas for her snow school Christmas break . She asked her parents if they could go there and they said "No !"  "You would surely melt as soon as you get there" then they walked away to get some hot cocoa. The next day she went to snow school with her sister Minty, her brother Frost (his real name is Jack and his middle name Frost) and Pepp's friends Snowy, Kandy and Kandace ( Kandy and Kandace are twins). On their way to snow school Pepp asked her friends what the Bahamas are like. They said " We don't know we have never been there and why do you want to know anyway do you wanna go there ?? Well you cant you will surely melt as soon as you get there, nice try though." Pepp was so upset she never thought she would accomplish her dream  but she kept on trying. One day after Christmas break started she went to her Grandmother named Mrs. Snowflake (Mrs. Snowflake was very old she was 99 years old) and talked to her Grandmother. She asked for some advise about the Bahamas and her Grandmother said "Sure I have been there it is beautiful." "How did you get there ? I want to go so bad it is my absolute dream, if I don't accomplish it I will die of despair." (Oh yeah I forgot to tell you Pepp is very dramatic)" Oh girlie you don't even know how you remind me of when I was a child."  Her Grandmother said. " Oh Grandma come on tell me how you got there" Pepp said. " Okay okay I will, let me get my glasses first." She got her glasses on and started to tell the story. Now for you kids this is when you should get a parent to read you the story along with a blanket, a pillow, and a stuffed animal and get all warm cozy with some hot cocoa and listen to what Mrs. Snowflake says to Pepp. "Alright Girlie where should I start? How about the beginning, alright then here we go."

 

      I was about your age Pepp, maybe 8 or 9 years old and I wanted to go to the Caribbean and the Bahamas just like you.  So I asked my parents, which would have been your Great Grand Parents, but anyhoo.... I asked and asked and asked but every time they said No you will surely melt. It got me down but I kept on chugging.  I asked my friends but they said the same thing. Finally I could not take it anymore it was my dream too Pepp. I thought I couldn't do it , I was discouraged too.  Then one day I met a fairy named Auriella (Ah-ree- el-a).  I bumped into her by accident and caused her to drop her things. I helped her pick up her things and said "sorry" and we walked away. She would have flown but her wing got crinkled when I bumped her, oops.  We kept going about our business but then I thought maybe she could help me. So I called her over but only called her "Miss fairy". She yelled out, "I have a name and what do you want? I remember Auriella being a little sassy.   I explained to her that I wanted to go to they Bahamas to see what it is like. To be honest I was a little scared, I thought she would laugh at me because I am a snow person, duh.... But she said "Oh okay  that is not so hard to accomplish I will just give you a sprinkle of pixie dust and  say a few words." Okay I said, so she started with the pixie dust and whispered "abracadabra and zoom zoom zoom  give Snowflake a cloud of snow to make her dreams come true." Then all of a sudden I had a stinking cloud over my head and I could go to the Bahamas right then. So I did and it was amazing to see and I didn't even melt or drip one bit.

 

    "Wow that must have been so cool" said Pepp. So the next day Pepp went to the hall of Fairy's to look up this fairy Auriella that her Grandmother had told her about. She looked and looked but could not find her in the archives. After a long search she found the fairies daughter Aurianna (Ahh-re-anna ).  She found out where Aurianna lived and journeyed there. When they met face to face Pepp asked her about this place called the Bahama's.  Pepp told her about  her dream to go there and how she would die if she could not get there (again she was a little dramatic).  Aurianna and her mother shared the same magic so gently Aurianna sprinkled the pixie dust and said " Make her cold and frozen and make her dreams come true and may she never melt no matter where she goes and may it pass down to her children and the next 300 generations."  Then there was a cloud of snow over her head just like her Grand-ma had said . The next week towards the middle of snow school break she went to the Bahamas with her Grand-ma and they had a great time. They got to go shopping, and they got to play with dolphins,  and got a great tan. The best part is that they spent time together, the best unexpected magic of all.

The Heart of Kelly’s Jungle

Chapter 1

 

   Ok so imagine you are a 12 year old girl that lives on a jungle island that is in the middle of the South Pacific Ocean. You wear an old short sleeve green t-shirt and some blue shorts  and you live in a huge tree house with some of your friends and it’s just you and the animals. Well that girl is Kelly; Kelly has long curly red hair. Kelly loves her life she has a best friend named Tabitha. But Kelly calls her Tabby. Tabby is a Toucan  Kelly has a nother friend named Sassy,the White Tiger. Kelly, Tabby, and Sassy love to run around and play Hide and go Banana’s , Cocunutball (Soccer to you), and Tag the Tiger . They love to play those games. One day they were playing a game of Tag the Tiger when they heard something bump up on the shore so they go to see what it is. and they see a little row boat on the shore and a big tourist boat on the horizen. They see a girl about Kelly’s age sitting in the row boat, she has long brown hair and is in a dress. They were saying that the island would be a good place for a tourist attraction, hotel, and a zoo for the animals !

 Kelly thought the jungle would be ruined !!!!!!  Kelly was going to think of a plan .Kelly went back to the tree house with Sassy and Tabby.  Tabby thought they could ask them to leave very nicely but Kelly said “ Well that could work but we don’t want them to know anyone lives here”said Kelly. “ Yeah I guess your right Kelly” said Tabby. “Hey Sassy your dad has that loud scary tiger roar right ?” said Kelly.  “Oh yeah he is loud and scary alright” Said Sassy. “Great that’s step one” said Kelly. “ Hey,could we come up with a name like ‘Operation Save Kelly’s Jungle’? And for short we could call it O.S.K.J” said Tabby. “Ok I like it “ said Sassy. “Sounds cool lets do it” said Kelly.

       So that night Kelly,Sassy,Tabby,and Sassy’s dad Sid set out to scare away the tourist’s and take away their camp sites on the beach. Sid snuk up to their camp sites and let out his big tiger “ROOOOOOAAAAAARRRRRRRRR” and he scared away 10 people.The tourists ran away and swam back to the boat and told the Captain to take them home.Step one was complete !

                         Chapter 2

   That morning Kelly,Tabby,Sassy, and all the snakes  got together and talked. “Ok snakes we need your help” said Sassy. “Witttthhhhhhh what?”Said Dell King of all snakes.“ Well…. we kinda…. sorta ….ummm…sorry I’m really scared of snakes” said Tabby. “We need your help to drive some tourist’s off our jungle beach’” said Kelly. “Yeah um….. that’s what um….. I meant” said Tabby.  “Ok tell me more” said Dell. “Well we need you all to sneake into all of their tents and scare them and see if any of them leave”said Kelly.“Alright we can all try our hardest for you Kelly” said Dell. “ Thank you Dell, we’ll talk to you tommorow” said Kelly.

   Dell and the other snakes scared 25 people!. “ We’re sorry Kelly we only scared away 25 people. There’s still 20 left” said Dell. “For the last time it’s all right we got the rest covered with step three” said Kelly. “Alright well good luck” said Dell.

 

Chapter 3

         So the next step was number three the last step. Kelly wanted to get them all out by scaring them again but she wasn’t sure what to use, but then she thought of it “You know what I could do Tabby?” said Kelly. “What?” said Tabby. “I could use the old volcano and roll some rocks down the hill and put some water in the little crevices and add some red dye to make it look like lava” said Kelly. “That’s a great idea Kelly” said Tabby.

            So Kelly started the last step with Tabby and Sassy. Kelly, Tabby, and Sassy started rolling big boulders down the volcanoes steep hills and they started flowing lots of water down the hills and added red dye to look like lava. They were looking to see if any of the tourists were leaving.

All of them were leaving except for one person, that one girl that was Kelly’s age so they all went to go talk to her.        “Why haven’t you left?” said the girl named Tylet. “Well first things first, what’s your name?” said Kelly. “Oh! Sorry my name is Tylet but you can call me Ty” said Ty.  “I like it, Ty sounds nice .My name is Kelly” said Kelly. “Oh yeah by the way what was that volcano thing?” said Ty. “Oh that was fake we scaring all the people away” said Kelly. “Oh okay” said Ty. “Would you like to stay with us? You can live here with me and all the animals it would be nice to have some company” said Kelly.  “Okay I’ll stay” said Ty. “yay, yay, yay, horay,horay,horay! “ said all the animals.

  So they all had a party to celebrate the brand new visitor Ty. In the end Ty, Kelly, Tabby, Sassy, and all the other animals lived together in the one big tree house.

“Thank you so much for letting me live here with you it has been really fun” said Ty

So as I said in the end Ty lived with Kelly and the animals forever and they played Hide and Go Bananas, Coconut Ball, Tag the Tiger, they looked for seashells, played in the water and lived all happily ever after.

One Rule: Selena’s Best Friend

   Once upon a time there was a mermaid named Selena. Now, Selena had one rule: Don’t come out of the water. But one day Selena went to the beach and said “I’m still in the water so I haven’t broken the rule”. But a fisherman saw Selena and caught her in a big net that she couldn’t get out of. Selena was so scared but she was very relieved when she saw her dad looking for her. He saw Selena and got her out of the net. When they got home Selena’s dad reminded her of the one rule that she had: Don’t Come Out of The Water, and to never go near the beach again. Selena was very sad that she couldn’t go to that beach anymore. Selena always thought the dry world was very fascinating and exciting, there were so many new things to learn and try. So that night Selena snuck out of their coral reef and went to the beach. She thought she saw a girl there, so Selena went on to dry land but surprisingly she got her legs !!!!! She didn’t know how to use her legs it was very hard to learn. The girl sitting on the beach saw her struggling and helped Selena learn how to use her legs. After the girl helped Selena they went to Big Mamma’s, the best smoothie place on the beach and talked for like an hour.

   “What is your name?” said Selena “My name is Annie” said the girl. “How old are you?” said Selena “I’m 14 years old, how old are you?” said Annie. “I’m 14 also” said Selena. After their talk Selena had to go home before her dad noticed she was gone.

   When Selena got home everyone was asleep but her dad. Selena’s dad caught her and told her to stay in her room in their coral reef for 2 days and not come out. Since Selena met Annie she wanted to spend more time with her, but now will she be able to see her ever again? ………….
